Webster graduate Logan Storley won the Northern Plains Senior Regional freestyle 84-KG division on Saturday.
Storley, who will be a junior for the Minnesota wrestling team next season, was competing with the Minnesota Storm wrestling team during the tournament. Storley, a two-time All-American, had little trouble winning his division. He defeated Daniel Toth of Cumberlands 7-0 and 5-1 in the first round and then defeated Russ Tabaka of Old School Wrestling by a technical fall in the quarterfinals.
Storley knocked off Eric Neil of Harrison TWP by a technical fall in the semifinals. Storley then beat Zeb Wahle of Maryville Wrestling Club by a 4-0 and 4-0 decision in the championship match.
By placing first at the tournament, Storley qualified for the World Team Trials on June 21-23 in Stillwater, Okla.
