Langford sophomore leads Lions to victory

 JaKayla Hesse led Langford Area past Aberdeen Christian 50-7 in a Lake Region Conference girls' basketball game Tuesday in Aberdeen.

 The 5-foot-8 sophomore provided the Lions with 11 points and eight rebounds. The winners also got 13 points from Tess Williams, 12 from Kristen Erickson and eight from Emily Johnson.

 Both teams will return to the Aberdeen Civic Arena next week to play in the District 2B Tournament. Langford Area will finish its regular-season by hosting Waubay Thursday.

 

 LANGFORD AREA: Jenae Carson 3 0-0 6, Kristen Erickson 6 0-0 12, Tess Williams 6 0-0 13, Amber Ogren 0 0-2 0,  Emily Johnson 2 4-6 8, JaKayla Hesse 5 1-2 11. Totals 22-48 5-10 50.

 ABERDEEN CHRISTIAN: Tabitha Schrenk 0 0-2 0, Ellie Becker 1 0-0 2, Madison Inches 1 0-0 2, Alex Williams 1 0-0 2, Cheyann Olson 0 1-2 1. Totals 3-37 1-4 7.
