SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Missouri community of Springfield was good to the Presentation College men's basketball team.
The Saints won their second game in a row there in as many days by beating Baptist Bible College 77-68 Saturday. Katonka Friar scored 18, 15 in the second half.
"Katonka hit some big shots for us today, just like he did last night," said PC coach Jeremy Reigle. "It is nice to see him hit those clutch shots. He did a nice job defensively for us as well."
Reigle also liked the boost that Chaz Haymond gave his team off the bench with four three-pointers in five attempts. Haymond scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half. "Chaz also made some key shots for us. He did a great job."
Quincy Davis added 12 points and Darrell Farr 10 for the winners. Teammate Anthony Hendricks got eight rebounds and five assists. For the pair of weekend wins, Hendricks contributed 20 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
The Saints led most of the way.
Presentation College will remain on the road next week, making the 40-mile trip up U.S. Highway 281 to Ellendale to play Trinity Bible College Friday. The women's game will be at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.
