Aberdeen Christian lost a 58-12 girls' basketball decision to Mitchell Christian Friday at the Civic Arena.
The visitors held the Knights scoreless for the first half the contest, building a 37-0 lead. Nine players scored for Mitchell Christian, led by Becca Glanzer's 16 points.
Aberdeen Christian coach Josh Carlson said the Knights are showing improvement in each game.
"We were rotating the ball and hadn't done that," Carlson said. "The girls are learning where to be with the ball. There are a lot of positives we took away tonight."
Sydney Wollman paced the Aberdeen Christian effort with six points and Cheyann Olson collected five rebounds.
Carlson noted that the Mitchell Christian post player was effective against the Knights, and the hosts had to switch defenses to try to stop her.
"We were playing zone the whole time and moved our guards from the perimeter to the post player," Carlson said. "You could tell a difference when we did that."
Carlson said the biggest thing Friday was the rebounding and second-chance points were what hurt Aberdeen the most.
"Our girls need to learn how to stop the second shots, a lot of their points came off those," Carlson said.
The Knights are back in action on Jan. 5, hosting Edmunds Central for a girls'/boys' doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m.
