The Aberdeen Church Basketball League will begin play on Jan. 7-8. All games will be held at the First Baptist Church gymnasium on Monday and Tuesday nights throughout the season.
There will be a mandatory meeting and open gym for all team captains at First Baptist Church at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17. All interested church team captains must be present at this meeting. The league will be divided into a "B" League (recreational) and an "A" League (competitive) with 7-9 teams in each league. The "A" League will play on Monday nights, and the "B" League will play on Tuesday nights. Game times are 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. A $340 fee will be assessed for each team. The $40 increase in fees is to encourage basketball officials to work games in the league so the level of play can be competitive, yet clean.
