The Knights easily captured the team crown thanks in part to Mary Billion's win over Ashley Thone of Aberdeen Central in the finals at number-five singles.
Thone ended up being the highest local finisher and took the first set off the unbeaten Billion before falling in three sets.
"Ashley had a fantastic state championship match," said Central coach Lisa Link. "Her shot selection and execution were outstanding. She certainly peaked at the right time as she played her best tennis during the state tennis tourney."
Aberdeen Roncalli won four matches on the day and finished fifth in the team standings with 413 points.
"I don't think that people were disappointed," said Roncalli coach Megan Barnett, whose team had a goal of matching last year's fourth-place finish. "I think everybody felt that they gave it their all."
The Cavaliers' highest place-winner was Erica Carrels, who finished third at number-four singles. Roncalli also ended up with three fourth-place finishes, three fifth-place finishes and a sixth place.
"Everybody ended up placing somehow or another," Barnett pointed out.
She was especially happy for Gaby Imbery and Erin Dudley, who each took fourth in singles and combined for fifth in doubles.
"For them to place, they're pretty pumped about that," Barnett said.
Roncalli also won the team Sportsmanship Award, something that Barnett said would have pleased the late Judy Rezatto.
"We all thought Judy would have been more proud of the sportsmanship award than any place we would have gotten," Barnett said.
Central finished seventh in team points with 375 .
The Golden Eagles received a solid win by Kristen Hanson against Brittany Kortan of Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Saturday.
"Kristen used her solid ground strokes and consistency to defeat the fifth seed in flight one to earn fifth place today," Link said.
