Aberdeen Roncalli split a pair of matches Monday at a triangular hosted by Huron.
The Cavaliers opened with a close 5-4 loss to the Tigers, and finished with a 6-3 victory over Mitchell.
Roncalli picked up wins against Huron at the first three flights in singles, as Erica Carrels, Gaby Imbery and Erin Dudley all were victorious. The doubles team of Dudley and Erin McNulty also won.
Roncalli coach Laurie Lingor said that last time the teams played, the score was the opposite with Roncalli on top.
"We knew going in that it would be tight again," said Lingor. "They are improving, just like we are."
Against Mitchell, Roncalli again had victories at the first three singles flights, along with flight six where Catherine Falk rallied to win her match. The doubles combo of Falk and Torrence also picked up a win.
"Gaby was down right away 0-3 and Cat was down 0-4 and they managed to rally back," Lingor said. "They showed a lot of poise and composure and never gave up. For as young as Catherine is, that really shows a lot of character."
The win at number six singles for Torrence was crucial, Lingor said, as it clinched the dual win for the Cavaliers.
Roncalli continues the season with a home dual against Watertown on Thursday at 4 p.m.
