COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. -- Brad Allen threw a no-hitter in the South Bend (Ind.) Silver Hawks' 2-0 victory over West Michigan on Saturday night in the Class A Midwest League.
The 6-foot-4 right-hander, a former Arkansas State star in his first season in the Arizona Diamondbacks' organization, retired 27 of 28 batters -- striking out nine and walking one.
Allen improved to 7-6.
