BRITTON -- Offense was plentiful in Britton Thursday night as Redfield Dairy Queen escaped with a 17-15 amateur baseball triumph over the Lumberjacks.
Dairy Queen held a 17-9 lead going into the bottom of the ninth inning, and a grand slam home run from Austin Suther highlighted a six-run inning for the hosts. The teams combined for 40 hits in the contest, 21 for the visitors.
Redfield was led by Chris Studer with four hits, including a pair of doubles. Edgar Tovar, Keith Gall, Luke Holt and Brendon Hoellein added three hits each, with a double for each. Aaron Kappes had four hits to lead the Britton effort, with three each for Ryan Wagner, Drew Amacher and Adam Suther.
