The North defeated the South 13-0 in the 35th annual B League All-Star game on Monday at Fossum Field.
The North plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning and exploded for seven runs in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach for the South.
Landon Lundquist was named the Most Valuable Player of the all-star game. Lundquist did a little bit of everything en route to MVP honors. He went 1-for-1 and drove in a run. He reached base four times and scored three times. Lundquist, the winning pitcher, struck out five batters and allowed only two hits. He also caught and threw out a runner at second base.
The North out-hit the South 8-4. Cramer Johnson went 3-for-4 at the plate for the North and scored a run. Caleb Kranzler, John Frankl, Daniel Reisenauer and Garrion Dahme all had singles for the North.
Blake Nunez, Bennett Lundy, Jacob Moore and Dylan Duvall all had a hit for the South. The South still leads the all-time series 20-15.
