The Minnesota Timberwolves are evaluating former Indiana center Cody Zeller, among their prospects for the NBA draft.
Zeller worked out for Wolves officials Wednesday, one of several big men who showed their skills on the team's practice court.
Roseville, Minn., native Mike Muscala, who played in college at Bucknell, was in an earlier group with fellow centers Steve Adams of Pittsburgh, Rudy Gobert from France and Zeke Marshall of Akron. Whether or not the Wolves re-sign Nikola Pekovic, they could use another center for next season.
The team did sign a center Wednesday, but only for the front office. Calvin Booth, an 11-year veteran of stints with seven NBA teams, was hired as a scout and the director of player programs, to provide professional and social guidance for Wolves players.
