GROTON - Two very different games resulted in very similar results for Locke Electric of Groton as it earned an amateur baseball sweep of Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar Monday.

In game one, Groton trailed the entire game before rallying for a 4-3 victory, scoring all its runs in the last inning. The nightcap did not contain as much drama, as Groton prevailed 14-2 in five innings.

Locke Electric used four hits, a walk and a sacrifice fly to plate four runs in the seventh inning. Chad Ellingson drove in a pair of runs during the rally and Mitch Locke provided the game-winning single with two out. The squads combined for 11 hits, all of them singles.

The hosts broke open the second game with an eight-run third inning. Three Groton pitchers combined to limit Circus to four hits. Offensively for Locke Electric, Tyson Paulson collected three hits and Heath Giedt two, with a double for each. Groton, 2-0, will be at Britton Tuesday for a single game at 7 p.m. Aberdeen Circus will be in Redfield Saturday to take on Dairy Queen at 2 p.m. and Parkston at 4 p.m.
