Rapid City native Wil Collins has qualified for the 2013 U.S. Open.
Collins won the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum, Wash., on Monday. Collin scored a 2-under 138 to win the two-round event at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum, Wash. The top finishers at the tournament qualify for the U.S. Open, which is June 13-16 in Ardmore, Pa. Cheng-Tsung Pen finished with a 139 to also earn a spot in the U.S. Open.
Collins won the 2007 Moccasin Creek Pro-Am in Aberdeen.
