After picking up back-to-back road victories, the University of South Dakota women's basketball team will host a semifinal game during the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) Tournament tonight.

The Coyotes, 19-15, play host to McNeese State, 20-14, at 7 p.m. at the DakotaDome. Like USD, McNeese has also won two games on the road during the first two rounds of the tourney.

Former Sully Buttes standout Alexis Yackley is the catalyst of the South Dakota offense. She recorded nine assists in USD's 71-48 quarterfinal win over Lamar and pushed her career assist total to 442, which moved her into fourth place all-time in Coyotes history. Yackley also led USD with eight rebounds in the Lamar victory, quite a feat from her guard position.

Polly Harrington, who made 7 of her 8 field-goal attempts, led the Coyotes with 15 points in their most recent victory. Tempestt Wilson contributed 14 and Nicole Seekamp added 13. Seekamp scored her 500th point of the season in the quarterfinal win, becoming just the eighth player in USD history to reach that accomplishment.

McNeese State is led by the Baggett sisters: Ashlyn, Caitlyn and Allison. Ashlyn scored her 2,000th career point and made her 300th career three-pointer in a quarterfinal win over Elon. Caitlyn led that triumph with 23 points.

USD and McNeese do have one common opponent. McNeese split a pair of games with Lamar during the regular season, losing 57-53 before avenging that setback with a 65-46 victory.

The winner of tonight's contest will earn a spot in the WBI championship game against Detroit (20-13) on either Saturday or Sunday. Detroit will host the title contest.
