Humphrey drove for a layup and was fouled with 26 seconds left, and completed the three-point play to knot the game at 64-64. After a turnover, the Warriors got the ball back, and a potential game-winning shot by Humphrey missed with six seconds left, forcing overtime.
Minnesota State, which finished its season at 28-5, received 21 points from Assem Marei. The hosts outscored Winona 26-12 at the free throw line. Winona, which hit 52 percent from the field, placed five players in double figures led by Clayton Vette with 22 points. Taylor Cameron followed with 15 points and eight rebounds.
