AUSTIN, Minn. -- A power-play goal in the third period combined with solid goalkeeping lifted the Aberdeen Wings to a 1-0 North American Hockey League victory over Austin Friday.
Jordan Heller converted a power play 16 seconds into the second period for the game's only goal. Steven Johnson and Justin Parizek assisted on the score.
The Wings' Zach Nagelvoort stopped all 32 shots he faced, while his counterpart for Austin turned away 23 of 24 shots. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Bruins and a four-game losing streak for the Wings against the Bruins. Austin had scored an average of 4.75 goals per game during that span. The Bruins lead the season series 9-2.
The two teams meet again for the final time this season at 7:15 tonight.
