LEOLA -- Leola-Frederick used a 14-5 second-quarter burst to fuel a 56-44 win over Ipswich and clinch the Lake Region Conference boys' basketball championship outright Friday night. Leola-Frederick came into the contest with at least a share of the league title in hand.
Brian Sumption tossed in 22 points, Matt Weisser followed with 14 and Derrick Podoll added 10 in the triumph.
Logan Secker topped Ipswich with 13 points. Dustin Northrop and Lane Myer each contributed nine. Myer also hauled down 15 rebounds.
