ELLENDALE, N.D. -- Ellendale edged Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier 46-43 in the first round of the District 5 boys' basketball tournament in North Dakota.
Adam White powered Ellendale with a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Shawn Hoffer added 10 points for Ellendale, which trailed 9-5 after the first quarter. Ellendale led 22-20 at halftime and the game was tied at 34-all going into the fourth quarter.
Conner Entzi and Logan Hanson had 13 points and 11 points respectively for Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier. Ellendale now advances to the championship game of the District 5 tournament.
