LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Northern State track and field team had one last tuneup before its conference meet.
The Wolves had athletes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Tuneup on Friday. Jill Schafer had a solid day. She finished eighth in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:37.56. She added a 15th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of :09.37 seconds.
Mikayla Barondeau recorded a fifth place finish in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:03.12. The NSU 1,600-meter relay team of Nicolia Edwards, Hannah Treinen, Makayla Perryman and Jill Schaefer had a time of 3:56.47 to earn fifth place.
Luke Hauert placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in :08.11, which equals his season-best time. Hauert, Jacob Arechigo, Eric Peterson and Nicholas Lindwurm placed eighth in the 1,600-meter relay in 3:23.20.
The Wolves will now compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference track and field meet on Feb. 22-23 in Mankato, Minn.
