Northern State freshman setter Drew Smith is the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference setter of the week.
Smith averaged nearly 15 assists per set while guiding the Wolves to a pair of 3-0 sweeps on the road last weekend. The 5-foot-9 Smith notched 37 assists in a three-set win over league-leading Winona State on Friday, helping NSU hand the Warriors their first home loss of the season.
Smith returned to the court on Saturday to post 52 assists in an NSU sweep of Upper Iowa for the Wolves' fifth straight win and fourth straight on the road. For the weekend, Smith averaged a league leading 14.83 assists and had 2.83 digs per set.
