The Wolves lost a dual against Minnesota State-Moorhead 171-80 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference college women's swimming action.
Northern had one first-place finish in the dual. Samantha Gunning picked up a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of two minutes, :17.02 seconds. Sarah Iwerks (2:45.69) and Elizabeth Cvrk (2:52.08) were fourth and fifth respectively in the same race.
Gunning also had a second place finish in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:56.00, while Mik Waiflein was fifth in the same race at 5:26.87.
Other swimmers to earn second-place finishes were: Ashley LaFave, 200-yard freestyle; Amanda Taylor, 100-yard backstroke; Allie Samuels, 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke; and Sara Peterson, 50-yard freestyle.
The Wolves will swim at the St. Cloud State quad next Friday and Saturday.
