OMAHA, Neb. - The Presentation College men's basketball team cruised to a road win with an assist by its bench players.

The end result was a PC team effort 85-60 win over Nebraska Christian College. The Saints improved to 3-2 overall.

Presentation got off to a slow start in the game.

"I thought we didn't start as well as we needed," said PC men's basketball coach Jeremy Reigle. "I subbed in five new guys for the starters to get something going to raise our level of play. It was a six-hour bus ride down here and it took a little out of us, but that's no excuse. We have to get ready to play."

With a lift from the reserve players, the Saints sprinted out to a 53-38 halftime lead and never trailed in the second half. Nebraska Christian College hit a scoring drought after halftime.

"They got stuck on 38. We didn't allow them to score for about five minutes. We had a lot of nice contributions. Lorenzo Jarvis stood out because he came in and hit threes and Darrell Farr was Darrell Farr. We had back-to-back games using our depth."

Jarvis is a freshman from Las Vegas, Nev., and Farr, a senior from Scottsdale, Ariz., is the team's leading scorer (24.2 points per game) and rebounder (9.6 rebounds per game).

"The bench did a nice job and we had contributions from everybody. We played all 16 guys. We had a lot of depth," said Reigle.

The Saints return to action tonight with an 8 p.m. game against Union College at Lincoln, Neb.

"They play a tough schedule," said Reigle. "They are a good NAIA team and can shoot the ball. They have nice guards and can crash the boards. We'll probably see more zone defense. We need the practice against zone."

A box score with individual statistics was not available late Friday for the Nebraska Christian game.
