The Crusaders collected a 25-13, 25-8, 23-25, 25-3 non-conference volleyball victory over Aberdeen Christian.
Sunshine Bible was in control of the match before it started subbing and the Knights took advantage by rallying for a win in the third game.
"I wanted to get JV players in there and get some experience," said Crusaders coach Megan Hall. "That was one of our downfalls there in that third game. Overall, I thought the girls played very well and I thought Aberdeen played really well as well."
The Knights were able to get on a run in the third game, when they rallied from a 15-10 deficit. Amanda Williams finished off the game with a kill.
"We played as a team, which is important," said Christian senior Kaitie Dengel. "We all called more balls. We all moved our feet."
The visitors regrouped in the fourth game and finished off the match.
Kaylee Goeringer had five kills and Shanna Moreland and Rebekah Konechne each added four for the Crusaders, who controlled life at the net.
"We've actually had a great year of being tough at the net," Hall said. "Hopefully, that will pan out for us at the end of the season when we go to districts."
Williams finished with four kills to lead the Knights. Abigail Fisk had five aces and Taya Schrenk contributed three aces and a pair of kills.
Christian had 10 aces, just two less than Sunshine Bible.
"We do work on hitting it to a minimal where it doesn't go out," Dengel said. "We call it 'Wheaties' when we hit it out, so we do 'Mini-Wheaties.' "
Dengel, the lone senior on the squad, said the team draws on God for their strength.
"We can't do it all ourselves so we have to depend on Him," she said. "He's just our main source."
Christian plays host to Wakpala at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Arena in another non-conference match.
