The Lions won the Lake Region Conference match 25-17, 25-22, 25-18. Sierra Bivens connected on all 24 of her serve attempts with 11 aces to pace the Lions. Langford Area was also strong at the net with 15 kills, led by Wendy Barrett with four kills.
The Knights collected 17 ace serves of their own in the match. Amanda Williams and Brittany Erickson led the Aberdeen effort with five aces each. Erickson also had two kills for the visitors.
Christian coach Ashley Landis said the Knights are looking better each match they play.
"We came together a lot more as a team, and communicated with each other a lot better," said Landis. "Our passing improved tonight, but we definitely need some more work. It was better tonight than it has been in the past."
Landis said the Knights were moving well and getting after the ball quickly against the Lions.
"I was impressed with our hustle and going after the ball, and not letting it drop," she said.
The coach noted that among areas the Knights will work on before their next match is serving.
"We missed 13 serves tonight and we can't do that," Landis said.
The Knights will be in action again Thursday facing Wolsey-Wessington in Wolsey with a 7 p.m. start time. Langford Area will play at the Britton-Hecla Tournament on Saturday.
