SISSETON -- The Aberdeen Roncalli golf team went about its business and took care of business during the Sisseton Triangular on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers nailed down the top three spots and captured the team title as well with a team total of 321.

"We took some objectives for the day," said Roncalli coach Keith Hurley. "It has less to do about the score and more about what we expect out of ourselves. We did pretty well towards the self-objectives that we set."

Gabe Heller and Michael Duch tied for first place, each firing a 76.

Heller has been on a roll lately.

"He continues to make steady improvement and gain consistency," Hurley said. "He's just striking the ball better and scoring better and managing his game better."

Duch has been at or near the top all season for the Cavaliers.

"We expect Michael to be contending in every meet we play," Hurley said. "He continues to improve as well."

Keaton Deiter shot an 80 and finished third. Other Roncalli results had Zach Streier with an 89, Parker Monson with a 90 and Jacob Gellhaus with a 92.

Aberdeen Central's JV finished second with a team total of 362. Stuart Farrand was fourth with an 83 and Eric DeBoer was fifth with an 88.

 Sisseton's team total was 407.

Roncalli has a busy weekend coming up, participating in a meet in Groton on Saturday and then traveling to Madison on Monday where it will face some of the top teams from the southern part of the state.

"Madison is a really good tournament," Hurley said. "That will be exciting."
