The Presentation College volleyball team claimed second place at the Spike Fest tournament on Saturday.
The Saints swept Ozark 25-20, 25-20 and 25-18 in their first match on Saturday. PC then lost to Maranatha 25-16, 25-18 and 25-15 in the championship match of the tournament.
"It was a great tournament for our team as a whole and we saw a lot out of this young team," Presentation College coach Chelsey Albrecht said. "We definitely saw what we are capable of doing and even more capable of what we can do and what our future holds for the season."
Megan Goedert was the lone PC player named to the all-tournament team. Goedert finished with 19 kills between the two matches on Saturday.
"We could have had two or three more on the all-tournament team," Albrecht said. "A lot of our kids had good tournaments. Obviously Megan got recognized for her strong play at the net, but Haley Boisjolie and Mo Bunney both did a nice job and both had great tournaments for us."
The Saints will host Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday in a non-conference match. A junior varsity match will be at 6 p.m., with the varsity match to follow at 7:30 p.m. at the Strode Center.
