Sioux Falls O'Gorman tallied a pair of late goals to rally for a 2-2 tie with Aberdeen Central Saturday in high school girls' soccer.
The Golden Eagles struck first, scoring in the 10th minute as Emily Brennan found the net on an assist from Michaela Tofflemire and Central led 1-0 at the break. In the 65th minute, Central expanded its lead when Taylor Morgan scored on an assist from Brennan.
O'Gorman cut into the deficit three minutes later, on a goal from Alyssa Weilder and tied the game with four minutes left in the game when Sam Anderson scored. Shots were even at 19 apiece, and Central goalkeeper Brook Braun had nine saves while Kristina Wagner had 10 saves for the Knights.
Aberdeen coach Merle Aske said the Golden Eagles played well overall.
"Realistically, we played a good game," Aske said. "We had a couple of mental mistakes in spots. We played well enough to win. We have to find a way not to allow those last goals."
Central is now 3-0-1 on the season and will host Mitchell Tuesday night at Swisher Field.
