The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team was picked to finish 11th in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released by the league Monday morning.
The Tigers, who finished the year 7-27 overall and 10th in conference play with a 2-14 mark, received 14 points in the poll, which is voted on by the league's 11 head coaches. Midland University and Northwestern College finished tied for first in the poll with 86 points. The Warriors received five first-place votes and the Red Raiders received four.
Doane College was picked third and received one first-place vote, Dordt fourth and Hastings fifth with one first-place vote. Hastings won the GPAC regular-season title and Doane won the postseason tournament.
