Redfield Dairy Queen claimed wins over Aurora and Castlewood on Saturday en route to a Class A amateur baseball district tournament championship. Redfield scored eight runs in the sixth on its way to a 13-6 win over Aurora in the first game. Edgar Tovar had seven hits over the course of the two games to lead the way for Redfield, including a 4-for-6 showing in the win over Aurora. Brendon Hoellein drove in five runs, while Joe Osborn had two hits in each win.
With the wins, Redfield Dairy Queen improved to 22-5 overall and will take on Vermillion on Friday in Rapid City in the first round of the state tournament.
