The Aberdeen Aqua Addicts ski team won the Midwest Regional Water Ski Show Division II title Sunday in Evansdale, Iowa.
Aberdeen compiled 1,243 points to win the division with the Hartwick (Iowa) Huskies second and Skidox of Rochester, Minn., in third. The Aqua Addicts, who were third at this event last year, grabbed numerous awards, including Best Pyramid, Best Jump Team, Best Tow Boat Driving, Best Pickup Boat Crew, Best Dock & Equipment, Best Showmanship and Best Sound Crew.
Aberdeen will host this regional next summer on July 25-27. The Aqua Addicts have a home show coming up at 7 p.m. Thursday at Dahme Lake, which is 2 miles south of Aberdeen on U.S. Highway 281.
