- The South Dakota High School Coaches Association recently inducted five men into its Hall of Fame: Jim Dorman of Sioux Falls; Jim Drake of Winner; Burnell Glanzer of Armour; John Nyhaug of Viborg; and Doug Schooley of Watertown.
- The South Dakota Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association recently awarded six $750 scholarships to: Grant Fodness of Castlewood, Kellam Karst of Plankinton, Chase Marso of Brandon, Stacey McDonald of Crooks, Taylar Rotert of Huron and Katie Zeller of Elk Point. McDonald, a graduate of Tri-Valley High School, will be attending Northern State.
- Two additional $500 scholarships are given to the state SDIAAA winners in the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Student Essay/Scholarship Program: Elizabeth Magnuson of Sioux Falls Lincoln High School and Andrew Puetz of Deuel High School.
