The Aberdeen Junior Team Tennis Yellow Team is headed for the Twin Cities.
The team coached by Jessie Daw won the Fargo Area playoffs to advance to the United States Tennis Association JTT Northern Section championships in Minneapolis next Tuesday and Wednesday. Team members are Parker Monson, Emily Magera, Jacob Gellhaus, Matt Hollan, Ashley Thone, Eric Marnette, Erin Dudley, Delaney McNulty, Erica Carrels, Lindsey Simon and Brianna Conn.
In JTT, a team dual consists of five matches - one each in girls' singles, boys' singles, girls' doubles, boys' doubles and mixed doubles. The match winner is determined by total games won. The Aberdeen Yellow Team won the Fargo event with 102 games, and the Aberdeen Red Team came in second with 95 games followed by two Fargo teams.
