Austin Suther's seventh-inning triple drove in the winning run as Britton edged Northville 2-1 in the first half of an amateur baseball doubleheader Thursday.
The hosts came back to earn a split with a 5-2 victory in the nightcap.
In the opening game, the teams were tied at 1-1 heading to the seventh. Drew Amacher singled and was bunted to second base by Evan Easthouse before Suther's triple drove in Amacher with the deciding run. B.J. Richter threw six innings with six strikeouts and Justin Link threw the seventh to earn a save for Britton.
Northville used a three-run second inning to take control of game two. Robert Smith drove in a pair of runs during the inning with his double, plus pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits. Adam Suther and Justin Link collected two hits each for Britton.
