Northern State senior safety Logan Dosch has been named a second-team Preseason All-American by Beyond Sports Network.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Dosch was the only NSU player on the preseason All-American team and the 11th player from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference on the team.
The Aberdeen Roncalli graduate earned first-team All-NSIC honors after leading the Wolves with 83 total tackles and four interceptions from his strong safety position last season. Dosch made 52 solo stops on the year, including three tackles for a loss. His four interceptions tied him for fourth-most in the NSIC. Dosch also recorded 14 total tackles in the season finale at Minnesota-Duluth, just one tackle shy of tying the NSU school record for tackles in a single game.
Northern State, which went 6-5 last season, will open the 2013 campaign on Sept. 7 against Wayne State College at Swisher Field.
