Northern State volleyball coach Brent Aldridge has a new top assistant coach in Emily Foster.

Foster, a native of Hopkins, Minn., has spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at Mankato where she earned her master's degree. She was a three-time NCAA Division III All-American setter at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, where she graduated in 2011.

"I am eager to invest my energy and focus into taking NSU volleyball to the next level," Foster said. Aldridge added, "I am extremely excited to bring Emily into our Northern volleyball family. She has a very good background in Minnesota at the high school, club and college levels as a player and coach. She has a passion for the game of volleyball and has a familiarity with the competitiveness of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference."

Foster also will replace Krista Johnson as the Wolves' recruiting coordinator. Johnson become the head volleyball coach at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Xavier High School.
