Presentation College head football coach Andy Carr announced the addition of two recruits to the Saints program. Transfer Tone Gatewood, a 5-foot 11-inch and 205 pound running back, and freshman Andrew Newton, 6-1 and 215 pound defensive end, will play for Presentation this fall.
Gatewood transfers after two seasons at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Gatewood rushed for three touchdowns his sophomore season for his team, which posted an 11-1 record and a number two national ranking. His freshman season Mt. San Antonio went undefeated at 13-0 and won a national title.
Newton was a two-time letter winner at Crandall High School in Combine, Texas. He had 30 solo tackles including five quarterback sacks as a senior and was named to the District 13 AAA team and his team's most valuable player on defense.
The Saints now have a total of 47 recruits for the 2013 season.
