Barring any trades, the Aberdeen Wings are scheduled to pick seventh in today's North American Hockey League Entry Draft.
There are three ways to follow the 24-team draft online that starts at 1 this afternoon: fasthockey.com, nahldraft.com and @NAHLHockey on Twitter. To be eligible, amateur players must be less than 21 on Dec. 31, 2013; who are not listed on an NAHL team roster or played less than 10 NAHL games during the 2012-13 season; and did not accept a tender from an NAHL team prior to the draft.
Two new teams, the Minnesota Magicians and Minnesota Wilderness, flipped a coin to see which team (Magicians) would select first. Coulee Region will pick fourth, Minot ninth, Brookings 16th, Bismarck 18th and Austin 23rd.
The number of players each team is able to draft varies on that team's current roster minus the number 30 as of midnight Monday. For example, if a team has 15 veterans rostered and eight tenders signed by the Monday deadline, that team is allowed seven draft picks.
