Brad Waage of Groton got his first hole-in-one Monday during a recreational round at Olive Grove. Waage used one swing of his eight-iron on the 182-yard hole. Witnessing the shot was Brad Larson. "We watched it from the tee," said Waage, who has golfed for 35 years. "It was going straight for the flag. Brad thought it went in and I thought it went past the hole." News of his accomplishment spread fast thanks to social media, he said. "The funny part is, some of my friends found out from Facebook," he said.
