Northern State's Robbie Rocamora has been named the National College Baseball Writers Association Central Region Player of the Week.
Rocamora drilled five home runs, three doubles and a triple in six games to end the 2013 regular season for NSU. In six games on the week, Rocamora went 13-for-26 from the plate, scoring nine times and driving in 17 runs for the Wolves, who picked up wins against the University of Mary and Minnesota-Duluth. Rocamora's banner day came on Friday when he went 4-for-4 with four home runs in game two of the series opening doubleheader against Duluth. Coupled with a triple and a home run in game one, he went 6-for-10 with nine RBIs and six runs scored on the day, good for a slugging percentage well over 2.000.
The honor is the first of Rocamora's career.
