The North American Hockey League has established another record for attendance in a season.
Fresh on the heels of a record last year with 1,128,098 fans, the NAHL drew 1,097,499 fans with four less teams, which meant the average number of spectators at games went from 1,342 to 1,524, an increase of 12 percent.
The leader of the league was Fresno, Calif., with an average of 3,555.
The Aberdeen Wings topped all Central Division squads with an average of 1,229, just slightly better than Austin, Minn., with 1,220 and Bismarck, N.D., with 1,211. Other Central Division teams and their averages are Minot with 986, Brookings with 655 and Coulee Region with 564.
