Minnesota State Mankato won the 12-team competition with a two-day total of 585 in the meet played at the Wayne Country Club. Nebraska-Kearney finished second with 589 strokes. The top five teams were separated by just 11 shots. Medalist honors went to Michael Colgate of Nebraska-Kearney with a four under par score of 140. Ross Miller of Mankato was two shots back.
NSU carded a 318 on Friday, but followed with a 323 on Saturday.
The top Northern individual score was a 155 turned in by Damian Freudenthal and matched up Zach Hauser for 40th place tie. Curry Kuehl was 10 shots back as NSU's third golfer.
The next action for Northern State will be the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Spring Championships on April 13-14 at Lake City, Minn.
