Wolves at Wayne State Invitational

 WAYNE, Neb. - Northern State shot a 318 after the first day of the Wayne State College Invitational on Friday.

 The Wolves are in 11th place out of the 12-team tournament.

 Minnesota State, Mankato is in first place with a 290, while Concordia-St. Paul is second with 292. Minnesota-Crookston, Augustana College, Nebraska-Kearney, St. Cloud State and Upper Iowa are all within striking distance.

 Damian Freudenthal has Northern's best score for the first day. Freudenthal carded a 75 on day one, while teammate Zach Hauser is right behind him with a 76.

 Nebraska-Kearney's Michael Colgate and Mankato's Rob Kraft are tied atop the leader board with 70s. The second and final round of the tournament is today.
